The things we do for health.

This is my plant.

When I drink water, she drinks water.

If I don't drink water, she dies.

Way to guilt myself into drinking my 96 oz of water a day.

Hello there,

Long time no write. I've been busy, you see. I start school again on Tuesday, almost 6 months after taking a break, or as my mom likes to call it, a sabbatical. I'm throwing my net out, I'm trusting the Lord; He'll come through. I'm taking two regular classes, plus three graduate courses, plus a test. Pero, como me dijo una amiga, "...hay que tomar los cursor y hay que laborar." Lets do this God.

I've also been busy sewing a bunch! yay! :) It's been really good! Just yesterday I was able to start and finish a lot of the projects I was excited to work on. I made two pillowcases, one drawstring pouch, a wallet, and a kid skirt. Today I went and bought a lot of new fabric :) So, I'm all set for my next friday, my official sewing day. I'm not taking the second part of my sewing course, because I'll be too busy with school and it's important to me to do well this semester. I'll be, God willing, getting certified as a teacher, and the test I have to take in march is super important for me to pass in order to get certified. Pray for me.

If you're wondering why I wrote hashtags on the title, I'll explain. Why are people hating so much on hashtags. I like it. It's like an afterthought...like, when you say something out loud and in your mind you add something else because you just thought of it.. I don't know..or maybe! a title for what you wrote..#conondrum I don't rightly know..but I support it! :)

As always, here's a little collage of some happenin's...

Mucho love,

J

So long 2013.

I wonder, even now, if I'll even miss you. We had our ups and downs, but I must be fair, you did teach me a lot, actually; about God, about myself. Things I'd never notice if they hadn't been slightly painful. I don't regret a single day or lesson learned. "El crecer duele" me han dicho, and I thoroughly believe it. I thank God for you, 2013, but look forward to this new year with more hope than I dare voice. I even look forward to who I'll be, come next year, and what this new year will teach me, painful or otherwise. Because God has it all figured out, don't forget now.

Mucho love,

J

Last days (this was written a week ago...)

Alo there, whoever you are, wherever you are...today's Saturday, at least on this side of the world. I have no pictures to share, a half finished purse, decisions to make, and a rumbling belly. Oh, but above else I have God in my heart. That pretty much outweighs everything else. I feel Him even now holding on to me, and I'm thankful. Have you ever met Him? Do you know what He's like? You should get to know Him, He'll change your heart.

This is my last week with the sewing class I've been taking this semester. On friday is our "graduation day" where we present our projects and get our certificates. Also, we'll get dressed up for the day and eat great food. It's bittersweet.

We're in December...December...December...the year's almost over and it seems like it just started. If you haven't started yet, I suggest you do; start living the life you've always dreamed yourself having, the life you've worked for, the life that will make you feel like you're living and not just existing. The life God has in store for you, the one He wrote, the one that's beating in your heart. He put it there, He knows, just ask and He'll give it to you. He'll also give you the courage to live it.

Go for it,

J

p.s I guess there was a picture after all..the one you just painted in your heart.
