I'm just going to jump right into it.

I just wanted to share with you guys a few point that really, really, really, really hit home with me:

* Matt.6: 22, "The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light.

This verse really opened my eyes and heart to a truth that has been working itself to my heart for a long time. We have to be on constant guard about the things we allow ourselves to see; whether it be a tv show, or a music video, a book we read, social media, the list goes on! So much of this world is fighting for our attention. We have to really be in tune with our Spirit and pray for discernment.

*"If I bind up my heart and mind with money and clothing and "stuff"--is there room for Christ?"

This hit is out of the ballpark!!!! Is there room for Christ?? My honest prayers is that the Lord will empty me of anything that is not Him, and fill me with Him.

Thank you so much for this devotional. It came at the right time! God bless you! :)

If you haven't done so already, I invite you to go to She Reads the Truth website and take part of this amazing devotional journey!

A month

It's been almost a month since my last post. A month! Where have I been?...Well, to be honest with you , I've been in the midst of finishing my last semester in college (can I get a Hoo-haa!!!; whatever that is) and in the middle of sooo many other thoughts, dreams, fears, etcetera, etcetera..you know what I'm talking aboot..that moment in the day..maybe in the middle of the night, if you're like me, just when you're about to fall asleep, when BAM!!! insecurities hit, fears set in and all of a sudden is like you never knew who God was.

It's like this people, either you trust God, or you don't...and I have to be honest wit ya'..I haven't been trusting Him that well...it's dumb, ridiculous and pointless..but, alas, He knows we're dust...and He pours His grace on us, when we ask Him to. Lord, here I am, asking..pour your grace on me. I love you Lord.

I'm thinking about changing the name of this blog...to what...stay tuned.

Una mezcla entre emociĆ³n y terror

A mix between excitement and terror. That's exactly how I've been feeling these last few weeks. Times are changing and change is happening. Now, I was inclined to say that change is inevitable. But, the truth is that if we don't make a conscious effort, we might just stay exactly were we are forever, never moving a foot forward, never reaching, never growing, just existing. While change is scary, I believe it's worth it.

There's a great quote that says, "Un mar en calma, nunca hizo experto a un marinero." Life is like the sea; we're in constant movement, like the waves, sometimes crashing, sometimes gliding, but we're still in the ocean, we're still swimming, soaking up the sun, going with the flow...living. And were there is life, there is hope.

So, here's praying and hoping that these times, though changing, exciting and terrifying all the time same time, will lead me exactly where God wants me to be. Because He knows better, and that's the only truth there is.

Dibujos animados

This weekend I started drawing again. It's been a while since I've drawn, but it felt as good as it always has. Now, I'm no Degas, clearly, but drawing has a way of relaxing me when Pinterest just isn't doing it for me; cue gasp. I believe God gave me this just because He knew, He knew..isn't it awesome how He just knows exactly what we need?

My dad's pretty awesome :) He got me this huge pack of Sharpie markers, which I've started promptly to use.
It may not seem like much, but it means something to me to be able to draw..to put something on paper, to do something creative and worthwhile.

This. My new favorite bible verse. He saw me, told me everything I'd been and done, and offered me eternal life. Now, that's love.

Mucho love,

The things we do for health.

This is my plant.

When I drink water, she drinks water.

If I don't drink water, she dies.

Way to guilt myself into drinking my 96 oz of water a day.
