Una mezcla entre emoción y terror

A mix between excitement and terror. That's exactly how I've been feeling these last few weeks. Times are changing and change is happening. Now, I was inclined to say that change is inevitable. But, the truth is that if we don't make a conscious effort, we might just stay exactly were we are forever, never moving a foot forward, never reaching, never growing, just existing. While change is scary, I believe it's worth it.

There's a great quote that says, "Un mar en calma, nunca hizo experto a un marinero." Life is like the sea; we're in constant movement, like the waves, sometimes crashing, sometimes gliding, but we're still in the ocean, we're still swimming, soaking up the sun, going with the flow...living. And were there is life, there is hope.

So, here's praying and hoping that these times, though changing, exciting and terrifying all the time same time, will lead me exactly where God wants me to be. Because He knows better, and that's the only truth there is.

Dibujos animados

This weekend I started drawing again. It's been a while since I've drawn, but it felt as good as it always has. Now, I'm no Degas, clearly, but drawing has a way of relaxing me when Pinterest just isn't doing it for me; cue gasp. I believe God gave me this just because He knew, He knew..isn't it awesome how He just knows exactly what we need?

My dad's pretty awesome :) He got me this huge pack of Sharpie markers, which I've started promptly to use.
It may not seem like much, but it means something to me to be able to draw..to put something on paper, to do something creative and worthwhile.

This. My new favorite bible verse. He saw me, told me everything I'd been and done, and offered me eternal life. Now, that's love.

The things we do for health.

This is my plant.

When I drink water, she drinks water.

If I don't drink water, she dies.

Way to guilt myself into drinking my 96 oz of water a day.

Hello there,

Long time no write. I've been busy, you see. I start school again on Tuesday, almost 6 months after taking a break, or as my mom likes to call it, a sabbatical. I'm throwing my net out, I'm trusting the Lord; He'll come through. I'm taking two regular classes, plus three graduate courses, plus a test. Pero, como me dijo una amiga, "...hay que tomar los cursor y hay que laborar." Lets do this God.

I've also been busy sewing a bunch! yay! :) It's been really good! Just yesterday I was able to start and finish a lot of the projects I was excited to work on. I made two pillowcases, one drawstring pouch, a wallet, and a kid skirt. Today I went and bought a lot of new fabric :) So, I'm all set for my next friday, my official sewing day. I'm not taking the second part of my sewing course, because I'll be too busy with school and it's important to me to do well this semester. I'll be, God willing, getting certified as a teacher, and the test I have to take in march is super important for me to pass in order to get certified. Pray for me.

If you're wondering why I wrote hashtags on the title, I'll explain. Why are people hating so much on hashtags. I like it. It's like an afterthought...like, when you say something out loud and in your mind you add something else because you just thought of it.. I don't know..or maybe! a title for what you wrote..#conondrum I don't rightly know..but I support it! :)

As always, here's a little collage of some happenin's...

Mucho love,
